THE HUNNA GET ALONGSIDE US WITH A NEW ANTHEM TO GET THROUGH LOCKDOWN. DARK TIMES IS THE BAND’S SECOND SINGLE TOWARDS THEIR NEW ALBUM I’D RATHER DIE THAN LET YOU IN.
Dark Times takes a raw and real look at the state of the world right now. The Hunna are not hiding anything, nothing is wrapped in cotton wool, yet, this blunt honesty seems appropriate for the times we are living in currently. Dark Times has given us something to relate to. / The world’s so f*cked right now / It’s got me down and feeling raw / I can’t believe the shit I’m seeing / What is going on? /
The bitter anger of the band shown in 2019 release I Get High to Forget (IGHTF), seems to have changed with this new music. The Hunna are ready to make change, and in true Hunna fashion it’s going to be loud and you won’t miss it. Last night, Dan and Ryan were joined by Jack to chat about Dark Times on an Instagram Live to celebrate it’s release, it is clear that this is not only a song they are proud of, but one that may become a fan favourite.
It is not only the provocative lyrics that carry the song, but as usual their brilliant musicianship – shout out has to go to Jack’s insane drumming throughout the track, and Ryan’s seemingly impossible note that definitely goes on for at least fifteen seconds (listen to it, trust me).
So I’m letting all these things spill out my mouth
Honestly I’m gonna scream and let it out
Wish that instead of fighting ourselves
We could put our weapons down and help
It seems a music video and new merch is on it’s way, so watch this space, to keep updated check out their socials, on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and of course TikTok! In light of postponing their album release they have promised new music off the album every month, we can expect good things from The Hunna.
Earlier this year The Hunna released Cover You, their first single from the upcoming record, in collaboration with Travis Barker.
