The Post Romantics, formed in Liverpool and made up of brothers Connor Cockbain, Cameron Cockbain and Liam Cockbain, alongside childhood friend, Sam Barton, have just released a new and gritty single, bad friend.
Described by the band as an “anti-love letter to the liars, users and other fake friends” bad friend is a big f*ck you to the haters and snakes of the world, complimented with a stylish soundscape of bitter lyrics, atmospheric dissonant guitar lines and driving beats.
As the listener we’re tossed through the chaotic tale of a friendship turning sour: full of love, lust, distain, deception and pain. The Post Romantics have brought real and raw emotions which are definitely not toned down, so think before you play it to your gran. bad friend is a love it or hate it single, with no room to hang around in the middle, though let’s be honest, if you’re one of the haters you’re probably part of the subject matter The Post Romantics are writing about…
Share bad friend with your enemies, exes and ex-friends, and watch as chaos unfolds. Then also play it to your friends, family and lovers with a disclaimer that it isn’t about them, but that they should appreciate it anyway so the single can hit the charts with force.
You can find The Post Romantics over on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, and check out their website where you will be able to find rescheduled tour dates, once confirmed. Make sure you listen to bad friend below, you won’t regret it.
